I was born in....although my parents weren't...my dad was not interested in religion...my mom attended the Anglican church (UK)....until one day a JW in 10 feet of snow came by and the rest is history...I think most folks are attracted by the promise of a paradise earth and removal of all problems ect...

according to the unfpa.. so, i really don't get the whole "trying to get everyone to see jehovah" thing.
even if they got a million more people a year, that wouldn't make up for all the other all these babies born who won't get warned at all.
so, why wouldn't the big a come sooner then later?.
They say that not every single person will get a "witness"..but when the preaching is completed to Jehovah's satisfaction, then the preaching work will be done....
so we all know the jw vocabulary is a weird one.

good day folks...for some time now, i've been trying to be deleted as an ms as this will even make my fade much easier...the body of elders in my "home" congregation, where i was "appointed" is asking for a letter stating that i won't be able to live to up to the responsibilties of being an ms and would therefore like to be removed...i'm not the best at writing and asking for some help w/o making it seem that i'm stepping down for "apostate" reasons.... .
i can't wait to send this letter to them on sunday and then perhaps next week the announcement is made!.

What would be the repercussions of them having the letter in writing?

@PON: The letter was just a couple lines....simple and to the point....I just let them know that due to circumstances I won't be able to fully carry out my role as as MS in the congregation, so it's in the best interested of the congregation and myself...

Ok folks....it's just about official, the COBE received my letter asking to be removed as an MS...so the announcement is to be made anytime soon...he spoke a little and expected what would've been said "We're deep in end....blah blah blah....can't afford to lose spiritual focus....and the regular crap"
One more step in the right direction to rid myself of this cult
my appointment came just when i started having mixed feelings about the existence of god and wt's legitimacy.

Similar thing happened to me...I was appointed as an MS when I hadn't prayed in months because my doubts had came up again...

were there a lot of elders, ms's and pioneers that should not have had those titles?.
I should've never been appointed as an MS...by this time I had very strong doubts prior to being appointed and hadn't prayed for a while...
i have a 3 and 1 year old.
hubby is a stay at home dad and i take care of the bills.
i have to, cause instead of working on his career when he was younger, he decided to pioneer- that is something that now i have to pay the price for which really sucks.. i feel that since i pay the bills, it's his job to cook and do all of the cleaning.
This is crazy...I think it's fair to expect him to take care of the house since you're at work.
